Further information:

Camberwell Green is a historic small urban park, with mature trees dating back to at least the early 20th century. It had not had any significant investment since the 1990s and required substantial restoration to make a new useable space for the community.

Our design improved the green space and making it a more useable area for the local community and linking to further regeneration works in the Camberwell area.

The challenging scheme involved working around a very busy traffic section and with very little space for storing materials. Street trees installed use a cell system to ensure longevity as well and can cope with the hard surfacing.

The very active ‘friends of the park’ group where involved throughout the project, providing regular updates and even a guided tour during the works. The well-used public space is now busier than ever with the local community making use of the open space

Street works and legal agreements were completed by Blakedown.
