The works are predominately a hard landscape and civil engineering contract, plus a small element of soft landscaping.
The works involve removing the existing access road, installing new drainage, laying bespoke paving to form the new road and pedestrian areas. Associated with this is the construction of new concrete planters, the installation of new street lighting and street furniture, including bollards, seating and cycle racks.
Specialist works within the contract involve the construction of a new access ramp with a glass canopy and stainless steel hand rails. A new fabric canopy linking the Evelina Hospital to the old St Thomas. Hospital along with the construction of a new granite set walk way.
The soft landscaping involve the planting an avenue of Carpinus betulus trees.
