The works to the Central Spine paving is an upgrade to the existing paving that had been in place since the development of the University in 1966.
This package of works is part of a ?250 million currently being invested in the University.
The Central Spine paving upgrade is a project that has entailed lifting of the existing concrete flag paving, removing off site, then supplying and laying 3500m? of Marshall.s .La Linea. paving. In association with the paving works, new drainage works to both foul and surface water were installed. Ducting for new IT services have been installed along with associated draw pits as well as installation of new ornamental lighting. New Marshalls street furniture was supply and installed along the Central Spine works.
