The new water play area forms part of the Riverside Recreation Ground at Dukes Meadow.
The construction works comprised of minor demolition works, excavation of spoil which was set aside for forming new mounds after the existing ground was contoured. Existing concrete sub-structures were broken out and removed from site, then a new kiosk was constructed along with a plant room for the new play pool.
The play pool has been finished with a mosaic tile surface, outside of the pool a new sand pit has been constructed along with new paving, retaining walls and fencing.
Associated soft landscaping has also been carried out along with the installation of new site furniture.
