Blakedown Sport & Play are pleased to announce the completion of the latest Goals Soccer Centre. Goals Soccer Reading officially opened for public use on Monday 14th September, with Bulmershe School pupils using the facilities during the day and Goals customers at night and at weekends.
This Centre is quite unique compared to the other Goals Centres around the country due to the number of multi sport pitches being installed as well as the usual Goals specification of 10 5-a-side 3rd generation pitches.
The other sports facilities installed include a 7-a-side 3G pitch using a 60mm carpet for rugby use and a 7-a-side sand-dressed pitch using a 23mm carpet meaning the pitch can cope with football use as well as hockey. There are also numerous macadam courts lined for netball and tennis and a natural pitch.
The new centre is situated adjacent to Bulmershe School off Woodlands Avenue in Woodley.
Blakedown Sport & Play has recently commenced work on a new Goals Soccer Centre in Everton. The facility is due to take around 14 weeks to complete.
