Alexandra Palace Park

Blakedown drew on every aspect of its teams’ expertise to carry out a major refurbishment of London’s 200-acre Alexandra Palace Park. Over the course of nearly three years, all the main areas and attractions were overhauled and new facilities were built.

The boating lake was dredged, the animal enclosure refurbished and stabling created.

The children’s play area was renovated and a new skatepark constructed.

All tracks, footpaths and car parks were reconstructed, and civil engineering work carried out on Alexandra Palace Way.

The listed walls and railings fronting the Palace were restored.

Major tree works were carried out, including removal, surgery and new planting.

All the work had to be completed while the park was fully open to the public, thus careful programming and planning with the client and architects was essential.

This project was fulfilled by  Blakedown Landscapes
