Blakedown Landscapes have been awarded winners in the category of 'Restoration & Regeneration Schemes' at the 2015 BALI Awards Ceremony for work on the Isabella Plantation access project for the Royal Parks.
The restoration and regeneration award category set by BALI (the British Association of Landscape Industries) includes any scheme which transforms derelict or neglected land into a valuable landscape, including a neglected historic site, designed site or natural site. This also includes historic park restoration and land rehabilitation for nature conservation.
Work on the scheme involved upgrading the existing path network to provide a variety of accessible routes; the resurfacing of the Peg's Pond disabled users' car park and access road, and improved signage and entrance gates. Blakedown also constructed a new bespoke building and toilet block featuring composting toilets and underground storage tanks.
