The ninth ASICS British 10k London Run took place on Sunday 12th July 2009, where SAPCA organised an industry team to run to raise money for the Paralympics GB.

Blakedown Sport & Play's very own Tony Farmer took part in the run, finishing the course in just 57 minutes! Tony said, "I have always wanted to participate in an event like this especially for such a worthwhile cause. The atmosphere on the day was superb with over 27,000 runners participating to raise money for different causes. I am really pleased with my completion time in 57 minutes; all that training has paid off! This is something I will definitely be getting involved with again."

Tony and the other SAPCA runners met up with the British Paralympians after the race, with Tony adding that, they were really grateful for the effort of all the SAPCA running team and the generous contributions made by all the sponsors.
