Throughout the country, skateparks are now one of the most requested sports facilities of young people. A dynamic sport which requires skill, dexterity and determination.

Skateboarding has come a long way since its initiation in the early 1970's and is indeed, now being considered as an Olympic sport. Using the latest construction techniques, Blakedown Sport and Play lead the field in the building of insitu concrete bowls and furniture for skateboarders and BMX riders.

Providing the optimum surface is an extremely important aspect and one we take a great deal of trouble over. This, the site preparation and groundwork prior to installation, are the key to ensuring correct and durable facilities are provided.

The concrete bowl park as featured here, has received wide acclaim from both boarders and riders.

Featured here is the skatepark in Yate, near Bristol. This project, constructed to include insitu concrete bowls, was designed for BMX riders, skateboards and in-line skaters. Concrete arena seating and railings were constructed, which double up as jumps and grinds. A BMX dirt track compliments the facility.
