Blakedown Sport and Play offer a comprehensive range of tennis surfaces to suit all levels of play and budget, from synthetic grass to macadam, and acrylic coated courts.

The propities within our product range is to provide player-friendly characteristics, with excellent ball bounce, ease of maintenance, durability and the opportunity where appropriate for ‘all round' play.

We have the flexibility within our range to provide the desired speed of play, from a slow confidence building training surface, right up to a fast response surface designed for competitive levels.

Blakedown Sport and Play offer a ‘one-stop-shop' service, ensuring contracts run smoothly and efficiently from design through to use. This includes ancillary equipment, tennis nets, floodlighting, fencing and associated landscaping.

Partly sanded artificial grass

Suitable for high standards of tennis, Blakedown Sport and Play offer Tennis Elite Soft and Tennis GP. These carpets are laid on a porous macadam base, to provide the ideal surface for a fast game.

Fully sanded artificial grass

Tennis Elite, is a fully sanded artificial grass laid on a porous macadam base in either polypropylene or Low Sliding Resistance (LSR) yarn. This type of surface can also be laid on varying depths of shockpad dependant upon the standard of tennis to be played and the extent to which other sports are to be played.

Porous Macadam and Acrylic Coating

Using a two layer construction of macadam base and wearing courses, Blakedown 52 M is a porous, frost resistant alternative to synthetic grass. Water perculates quickly through the wearing course, allowing play to resume soon after a period of heavy rain. In addition, we offer Blakedown 52 M, with an acrylic coating. Containing carefully balanced quantities of slip reducing agents, this provides a surface with optimum foothold and ball bounce.
