Celebrating International Women's Day 2023 with Janine Richards

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This year the campaign theme is #EmbraceEquity. Equity isn’t a nice to have it’s a must have. A focus on gender equity needs to be part of every society’s DNA.

At Blakedown Landscapes, we are celebrating the remarkable women we know and work alongside. One such woman is Janine Richards our Group HSEQ Manager, who is integral to our success and inspires us every day.

Janine joined our team 17 years ago as Health & Safety Assistant, progressing with dedication training and development to her current position.

Janine supports our operational teams to ensure that working conditions are safe, secure and healthy for all our employees. As a Mental Health First Aider and advocate, she also support employee wellbeing.

Janine has been instrumental to the success of some of our biggest award-winning projects including the Crossrail Roof Garden and the Natural History Museum. Additionally she has been an integral contributor and creator to the HSEQ element of our ISO certified management system.
