Team behind Queen Elizabeth II Garden Receives The Royal Parks Guild Team Award 2026

Blakedown Landscapes is proud to share that the team behind the Queen Elizabeth II Garden has received The Royal Parks Guild Team Award 2026.

Presented at Chelsea Physic Garden as part of the Guild's 20th anniversary celebrations, the award recognises the outstanding achievement of the partners involved in the planning, design, management and delivery of the garden.

The award recognises the collaborative contribution of The Royal Parks, HTA Design, Dr Noel Kingsbury, Fulkers Bailey Russell and Blakedown Landscapes in creating one of The Regent's Park's most significant recent landscape projects.

As Principal Contractor, Blakedown was proud to deliver the landscape construction, including complex civils and specialist hard and soft landscape works. Working closely with the wider project team, the project combined technical expertise, high-quality craftsmanship and a shared commitment to delivering an exceptional public landscape.

The Queen Elizabeth II Garden has set new benchmarks for sustainable landscape construction through its BREEAM Infrastructure Excellent rating, an 80% reduction in embodied carbon, 99.98% of construction waste diverted from landfill and a 184% net increase in biodiversity. These achievements reflect the project's commitment to delivering long-term environmental benefits alongside a landscape that will be enjoyed by visitors for generations to come.

The Royal Parks Guild Team Award recognises the strength of that collaboration and the expertise of every partner involved in bringing the project to life, from planning and design through to construction and delivery.
