Queen Elizabeth II Garden wins three BALI National Landscape Awards
Blakedown Landscapes is delighted to announce that the Queen Elizabeth II Garden in The Regent's Park has won three BALI National Landscape Awards 2026, recognising excellence across three categories:
Soft Landscaping Construction (non-domestic) Over £500K
Hard Landscaping Construction (non-domestic) Over £500K
Regeneration Scheme Over £500K
Delivered by Blakedown Landscapes for The Royal Parks and designed by HTA Design, the two-acre garden commemorates the life and legacy of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The three awards reflect the breadth of Blakedown's work in transforming the former plant nursery, bringing together complex civil engineering, specialist hard landscaping and technically demanding horticulture.
The BALI judge praised the quality of both the hard and soft landscaping, the collaborative approach and the innovation behind the project, including the pioneering use of site-won crushed concrete as a growing substrate.
Particular recognition was also given to the garden's BREEAM achievement, carbon management, waste diversion and 184% Biodiversity Net Gain.
The awards recognise the expertise, commitment and attention to detail of the Blakedown team, alongside the vision and collaboration of the wider project team.
Congratulations to The Royal Parks, HTA Design, Dr Noel Kingsbury and everyone involved in this achievement.
Blakedown now looks forward to BALI's 50th Anniversary National Landscape Awards ceremony at Grosvenor House, London, on 4 December, when the Principal Awards and Grand Award will be announced.
